D' Luxe Decor - Embrace the Beauty of Iman Home

For those who love the idea of a "model" home, we can now look forward having one of own. Iconic supermodel Iman will launch her first home furnishings products under the brand Iman Home.

The collection of some 15 decorative fabrics designs, are grouped in two themes: Urban Eclectic and Modern Glamour - each offering a layering of various textures and techniques in diverse looks reflecting both a global and urban influence.

Each works alone but also can be paired to pick up design elements from the other. The collection will debut at retail at Calico Corners on September 5.

Purple has been predicted to be one of the top home decor color trends for 2009. Surprised? We've seen purple make a hit on the runway and fashion retail outlets and it's known as a happy color. Can't we all could use a bit of uplifting during these trying times.?

We crave more purple and now we are bringing it into our homes.

D' Luxe Decor - Domino Magazine to Close

Despite increases in circulation, declines of nearly $40 million in advertising revenue have caused my favorite home decor magazine to "close its doors".

Conde Nast has decided to fold Domino, the young "Shopping Magazine for Your Home" edited by Deborah Needleman.

A final March issue will be published, and the website will be shut down. This is a great magazine and will definitely be missed. Hold on to your back issues for the memories!
