D' Luxe Book - Exactly As I Am by Shaun Robinson

She's won an Emmy, written columns for popular magazines and of course, is the weekend co-host and a correspondent for Access Hollywood, but when Shaun Robinson sat down to write her first book, she decided to not pen her manuscript about the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world.

Instead, after receiving questions from young women across the country who desperately wanted to be like their celebrity idols, Shaun decided to write a book offering self-esteem boosting words of wisdom from her own life and with the help of a host of celebrities.

In Shaun's book, "Exactly As I Am", she shares her own stories, as well as those from Oprah Winfrey , Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Indie Arie, Meredith Vieira, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, the latter who revealed a school play director once told her, her voice was the best, but the part went to someone else because of her weight.

Through this rich tapestry of voices, women of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds explore how to stay grounded and develop positive self-esteem, something Robinson calls “your ticket to freedom and making your dreams come true.” They also discuss the importance of mentors and friends, being able to laugh at oneself, and giving back to others. The collected wisdom of shared experiences in "Exactly As I Am" is designed to give every girl and woman the opportunity to dream big, stay strong, and remain true to herself. D' Luxe Book: Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man

Steve Harvey, the host of the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, is never short on opinions when advising his female listeners on how to deal with men. Why? According to Steve it's because they're asking other women for advice when no one but another man can tell them how to find and keep a man. This inspired him to write his first book.

Sometimes funny, sometimes direct, but always truthful, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man is a book you must read if you want to understand how men think when it comes to relationships.

Wow, how I wish I had a book like this to read years ago. Judging by this book's first week sales numbers, it's not too late for many of us. List Price: $23. Available at http://www.amazon.com/ and other book retailers.
